Thermal energy

Image
T hermal energy is generated and measured by heat of any kind is due to the increased activity or the speed of molecules in a substance, which in turn causes temperature causes rise accordingly. There are many natural sources of thermal energy on the earth, making it an important component of alternative energies. To explain the laws of thermodynamics, that energy can be exchanged to another in the form of heat from a physical object. For example, putting fire under a pot with water, the water is heating up as a result of the increased molecular motion. In this way, the heat or thermal energy, the fire is partially transferred to the water. Understanding the principles of thermodynamics has allowed people to use to create the natural sources of heat, thermal energy from a variety of sources. The sun, ocean and geothermal sources such as geysers and volcanoes, all sources of thermal energy. As an exhausted people, sustainable forms of alternative energy instead of fossil resources, such

Hybrid vehicle

Many people have probably owned a hybrid vehicle at some point. For example, a  mo-ped  (a motorized pedal bike) is a type of hybrid because it combines the power of a  gasoline engine  with the pedal power of its rider. In fact, hybrid vehicles are all around us. Most of the  locomotives we see pulling trains are  diesel-electric hybrids . Cities like Seattle have diesel-electric  buses  -- these can draw electric power from overhead wires or run on diesel when they are away from the wires. Giant  mining trucks  are often diesel-electric hybrids.  Submarines  are also hybrid vehicles -- some are  nuclear-electric  and some are  diesel-electric . Any vehicle that combines two or more sources of power that can directly or indirectly provide propulsion power is a hybrid. Most hybrid cars on the road right now are gasoline-electric hybrids, although French car maker PSA Peugeot Citroen has two diesel-electric hybrid cars in the works. Since gasoline hybrids are the kind you'll find at

Free gprs in bsnl

Image
Image via Wikipedia Here are the steps to perform:-   Logic: the server has a major bug in it, by which it fails to block two simultaneous connections from the phone and establishes a connection with full internet working,   Supported devices: all phones with multichannel gprs support   For connection on your mobile phone:-   1) Make two connections like bsnl portal and BSNLPORTAL1   (names of profile don’t matter, u can keep one as bill gates and shahrukhkhan lol. The basic purpose of names is to enable the user to differentiate between the two accounts,)   2) Select the application you got to have the full connection working on.   Surpassingly “web” now just select “bsnl portal” profile and select a link like wap.cellone.in the page will get open, just press the red button such that the “web” application goes in the background.   Make sure that the gprs connection is still established with the web app. Two parallel lines on the top left of the screen will confirm this

Eco-Friendly Car WITH Alternative Fuels

Image
Paul Hanna  is the author of this futuristic vehicle called Energo Racer . The designer was highly inspired by nature and namely marine creatures. He created the shape of the vehicle after studying the  bodies of marine animals  and analyzing these animals move their bodies to swim faster. The vehicle can be built in a way so it would be powered by  several alternative fuels and power sources . For example, it can run on  hydrogen  or be powered by solar energy .

Parking System Uses Solar Power to Charge Electric Vehicles

Image
This futuristic parking system was designed by  Jin Yuanbiao, Gang Tang  and  Su Sha  especially for the all-electric vehicle dubbed Solar Coco. Both the car and the parking system boast nice design and eco-friendly features. The round-shaped vehicle has solar panels  mounted on the roof. When parked, the car is lifted by the system up and exposed to direct sunlight. After being lifted, Solar Coco exposes its solar panels to the sun and the whole structure starts resembling sunflower.

Speed Camera that Detects 5 Different Violations

Image
Researchers from the European Commission are working on a  new speed camera  that will be able to detect five different violations simultaneously. The device, called  Advanced Safety and Driver Support for Essential Road Transport (Asset) camera , can detect not only speed offences, but also spot drivers that did not fasten their seatbelts. Besides, the camera can monitor the distance between cars to detect tailgating. It can  capture license plates  and verify against the relevant databases. This allows recognizing the vehicles that haven’t been taxed or insured. All data collected by the GPS-enabled gadget are sent back to the central database. Pictures that are over a month old along with images with no violation are deleted. The Asset camera is part of a GBP7 million project. According to the developers of the system, each camera costs about GBP50,000. It is worth mentioning that the camera was developed by a group of European universities and research institutions. The current p

Human-Like Robots to Mimic Human Facial Expressions

Image
British scientists at the University of Bristol developed a  copycat robotic head , dubbed Jules. The head is able to  mimic the facial expressions  and lip motions of a human. The  robotic   Jules  represents an  animatronic head  developed by David Hanson, American specialist in robotics, who works on the creation of uniquely expressive, incorporeal heads made of flexible rubber skin which moves with the help of 34 servo motors. The motions of a human face are monitored by a  video camera and mapped onto small electronic motors in the skin of the robotic head. The group of scientists at Bristol developed their own software that will help pass the expressions, which the video camera recorded, into commands, thus making servos  generate facial motions  that are similar to the real ones. But due to the fact that the robot’s motors cannot be compared to the real human facial muscles, a little artistic license was needed. The scientists hired an actor, who performed on camera different

Tracta Constant Velocity Joint

Image
The tracta constant velocity joints was invented by Fennille in France and was later manufactured by Bendix Limited in England . In some respect these joints are similar in action to a double Hooke's type constant velocity joint. This type of joint incorporates two outer yoke  jaws members and two intermediate semi spherical members (Fig. 26.15A). Each yoke jaw engages a circular groove formed on the intermediate members. Both intermediate members are coupled together in turn by a swivel tongue and grooved joint Fig. 26.15. Bendix tracta joint. A. Pictorial view. B. Exploded view. C. Front wheel drive hub swivel pins and axle incorporating a tracta joint. D. Plan view. Relative motion between the outer jaw yokes and the intermediate spherical members is provided by the yoke jaw, which is fitted into circular grooves formed in each intermediate member. Relative movement between adjacent intermediate members takes place due to a double tongue formed on one member slotting into a se

PC’S RUN WITH THEIR OWN HEAT RATHER THAN ELECTRICITY

Image
PC’S RUN WITH THEIR OWN HEAT RATHER THAN ELECTRICITY Computers may soon be able to recycle parts of their own waste heat, using a material being studied by researchers. The material is a semiconductor called gallium manganese arsenide. Researchers at the Ohio state university describe the detection of an effect that converts heat into quantum mechanical phenomenon known as spin in a semiconductor. Once developed, the effect could enable integrated circuits that run on heat rather than electricity. This research merges two cutting edges technologies: thermo electricity and spintronics, explained team leaders joseph heremans, Ohio eminent scholar in nanotechnology, and Roberts Myers of the Ohio state university. Image via Wikipedia  Myers and Heremans have been trying to combine spintronices with thermo-electronics that is, devices that convert heat to electricity.”Spintronics is considered as a possible basis for new computer in part because the technology is claimed to produce no h
