Virtual-Holographic Display zSpace

Image
Frankly, on this development can dream all my life. When you look at it, do not even believe what is in principle possible. Engineers, designers and enthusiasts will be very interested in buying this display. The name of this development zSpace, which means the space in the third dimension. According to the developers, this display aims to enhance the capacity of human creativity, by combining a simple two-dimensional world with holographic, sensory rich space. This development to date has created a revolution in 3D design. Technologically zSpace consists of a 24-inch monitor, a stylus and special 3D glasses that come with the display. Three-dimensional modeling is entering a new phase in its development, with high realism of virtual holographic projection. Well, we can only wait for this gadget is fully integrated into the world of design and architecture.

Most Common Headache

Image
Tension Headaches: Causes: Since a tension headache is so common, the causes are pretty widespread. They're caused by anxiety, eye strain, caffeine, food, poor rest, bad posture, stress, hunger, or just about anything else you change in your daily schedule. Tension headaches are also usually the type of headache you end up with after a night of alcohol. Essentially, if something is abnormal about your day, whether it's a late lunch or a series of deadlines at work, a tension headache might pop up. Treatment: Tension headaches are usually best handled with over-the-counter painkillers like aspirin or ibuprofen before the pain gets severe. Those aren't cures, but they make the pain go away for a while. In general, your best bet is to rest and relax until the headache goes away. Even a hot pepper may provide some relief. If your headaches are common enough, your doctor may have other solutions. Otherwise, it's good to find your triggers, minimize them, and fight

Early 1960s.  From L to R: Sanjay Gandhi, Dara Singh's brother, Rajiv Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, Dara Singh & Amitabh Bachchan The Bachchan family's ties with the Nehru-Gandhi family dates back to the early 20th century when Harivansh (Amitabh's father) and Motilal Nehru, being from the same city of Allahabad were both iconic & close aides. Amitabh Bachchan (BigB) first met Rajiv Gandhi when he was  4 years old and Rajiv Gandhi was 2 years. Their friendship grew stronger as they grew up particularly due to their shared interest and similar characters. Their friendship reached the pinnacle when BigB and his family lent moral support to Rajiv in late 1960s during his marriage with Sonia, which was opposed by Indira. It was BigB's mother who acted as a mediator between the young couple and Indira during their courship and successfully convinced Indira to accept the marriage. However after few decades, in the early 1990s, their relationship turned sour after the a

SHAKUNTALA DEVI is no more

Image
1977. Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas World recognized mathematician Shakuntala Devi calculated the 23rd root of a 201 digit number within 50 seconds while the UNIVAC Supercomputer took more than a minute to calculate the same.  Born in 1939 in a poor family in Bangalore (India), she dropped out of school because her parents could not afford the monthly fee of Rs 2 for school.  She grew up in a slum and by the age of 3, her father discovered her strong mathematical abilities. As the word about her abilities spread around the town, she started demonstrating and by the age of 6, even reputed Universities started inviting her to demonstrate her mathematical magic. After this 1977 record at Dallas, she went on to create more records including one in 1980 where she solved multiplication of two 13 digit randomly picked numbers in just 28 seconds and entered the Guinness Book of World Records. Not only was she a genius & mathematical magician but she played a great r

Swiss company aims to fly satellites into space

If you want to launch a satellite in the usual way – on top of a rocket – it will typically cost you at least US$50,000,000. Newly inaugurated aerospace firm Swiss Space Systems (S3), however, claims that it will be able to put your small satellite into orbit for about 10.6 million bucks. S3 is planning on flying satellites into space, using an airliner and an unmanned shuttle..

satillate detects earth quakes from space

GOCE becomes first satellite to detect an earthquake from space... The European Space Agency’s Gravity Field and Steady-State Ocean Circulation Explorer (GOCE) satellite was launched on March 17, 2009, as the first of a series of Earth Explorer satellites. Its mission is to capture high-resolution gravity measurements and produce an accurate gravity map – or geoid – of Earth. To increase the resolution of its measurements, GOCE was put into an unusually low orbit, which has also helped it to become the first satellite to sense sound waves from an earthquake from space.

Magnetic Trains

Image
The principal of a Magnet train is that floats on a magnetic field and is propelled by a linear induction motor. They follow guidance tracks with magnets. These trains are often refered to as Magnetically Levitated trains which is abbreviated to MagLev. Although maglevs don't use steel wheel on steel rail usually associated with trains, the dictionary definition of a train is a long line of vehicles travelling in the same direction - it is a train. HOW IT WORKS: A maglev train floats about 10mm above the guidway on a magnetic field. It is propelled by the guidway itself rather than an onboard engine by changing magnetic fields (see right). Once the train is pulled into the next section the magnetism switches so that the train is pulled on again. The Electro-magnets run the length of the guideway. ADVANTAGES: Well it sounds high-tech, a floating train, they do offer certain benefits over conventional steel rail on steel wheel railways. The primary advantage is mainta
