PNR STATUS MEANS????

In today’s travel industry the import keyword in bookings is PNR Status. PNR stands for personal name record or passenger name record. A passenger can check his or her PNR status by online or through mobile or telephone.

Any changes in the status of the travel will update the PNR Status so the information will be send to the passenger through the details in the database which where give the passenger at the time of booking.

In Indian railway systems, a passenger can check his booking status through online or mobile.

For online he or she can visit IRCTC website.

Through mobile one can check his PNR status by sending a text message containing the PNR number to 139.

Based on the PNR Status only the train bookings can be edited or changed.
